Video of President Biden “sounding a lot like Trump” regarding “illegals” popped up on social media, just as reports indicate Democrats are trying to sneak immigration provisions into their massive social spending bill.
The Washington Post reports that Democrats are “scrambling intensely behind the scenes” to address immigration within the bill.
“One option under discussion is a plan to provide protected status that stops short of a path to citizenship,” the Post writes.
“Another, which is seen by some of the people with knowledge of the situation as something of a placeholder, is to include a proposal that would enable immigrants who arrived in the United States before 2010 to apply for a green card.”
Biden Sounds Like Trump on ‘Illegals’
One social media user tweeted an article published by Vanity Fair in May of 2019 in which President Biden is accused of “sounding a lot like Trump” on illegal immigration.

“Biden takes a practically Trumpian tone when talking about tightening U.S. immigration laws, building fences along the U.S.-Mexico border, punishing ‘sanctuary cities,’ and jailing employers who hire ‘illegals,'” the magazine contends.
“Folks, I voted for a fence, I voted, unlike most Democrats – and some of you won’t like it – I voted for 700 miles of fence,” Biden says in the unearthed video.
“But, let me tell you, we can build a fence 40 stories high – unless you change the dynamic in Mexico and – and you will not like this, and – punish American employers who knowingly violate the law when, in fact, they hire illegals,” he adds.
Biden goes on to indicate that Mexico isn’t sending their very best people when they cross the border.
“Let me tell you something folks, people are driving across that border with tons, tons, hear me, tons of everything from byproducts for methamphetamine to cocaine to heroin and it’s all coming up through corrupt Mexico,” he tells the group.
Sneaking Illegal Immigration Into Spending Bill
My how times have changed for Biden since that video.
The President using the term “illegals” is a remarkable contrast to the man who, as one of his first acts upon entering the White House, was to initiate a new directive that would prohibit the use of the terms “alien” or “illegal alien” in official immigration communications.
In another video that surfaced from 2006, Biden can be heard demanding illegals learn English as a condition for attaining legal status which, according to every Democrat alive today, is a supremely racist suggestion.
“The Democratic position recognizes you got 11 million illegal aliens here. They have to have a way to earn their way into the deal. This isn’t amnesty. They’re required to take 11 years work, they pay a fine, they gotta learn to speak English, they gotta pass tests,” he told MSNBC host Chris Matthews at the time.
Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) is warning about the consequences of Democrats sneaking illegal immigration provisions into the spending bill.
“Look what they want to spend it on,” he said in a recent interview. “They want to give welfare benefits to millions of illegal aliens at a time [when] we have a crisis at our southern border.”
Just last week a bombshell report indicated the Biden administration is “secretly” flying underage illegal immigrants from Texas to New York (NY) in an effort to resettle them into the region.
